Abstract

This work aimed to follow the behavior of Africanized bees (Apis mellifera L.) using radio frequency sensors (RFID) at Belem, Para, Brazil. The used methodology is based on the anchoring of trackers to the bees, passing through an observation by electromagnetic waves to the medium of a metal conductor or a system that works with the antenna, exchanging information with the system through its EPCs (Electronic Code of Product). The behavioral evaluation allows the use of RFID technology to bring information to the Amazon biome and that is also used to enhance the production of honey as well as pollination for income generation in the beekeepers of the Eastern Amazon region.
