Abstract

Brazil is among the world’s largest honey exporters, with high-quality and residue-free production that strengthens its competitiveness in the international market. In 2023, approximately 46 thousand tons of honey were exported, generating revenues of more than 125 million dollars, with the United States, European Union, and Canada as the main destinations. The growing global demand for natural, organic, and sustainable foods further favors the Brazilian product. Despite this potential, challenges such as quality standardization, certifications, and trade barriers still need to be addressed. Investments in innovation, traceability, and the expansion of origin certifications can consolidate the country as a global reference. It is concluded that the prospects for Brazilian honey exports are promising and capable of strengthening the beekeeping production chain.
