Socio-legal consequences of the forgiveness that the victim grants the aggressor in cases of domestic violence

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to analyze the socio-legal consequences arising from judicial delays in cases of domestic violence, highlighting this problem in the light of its main repercussion, the forgiveness of the victim in the face of the abuse of his aggressor. The aim is then to correlate the judicial delay and the subjective forgiveness that the woman grants to the aggressor, evidencing its legal reflexes. The method used was the bibliographical one, aiming, from the study of scientific, doctrinal and legal texts, which debate on the subject of forgiveness of the victim and its judicial repercussions.
