Fome Zero e Agricultura Sustentável no Brasil: Da Retomada das Políticas Públicas à Superação da Fome

Abstract

The eradication of hunger and the promotion of sustainable agriculture, central axes of Sustainable Development Goal 2 (SDG 2), constitute one of the greatest challenges faced by Brazil in the context of the 2030 Agenda. Although the country has historically been one of the world's largest food producers, it still faces profound social inequalities, widespread food insecurity, and environmentally unsustainable agricultural production models.In the meantime, this research carried out a study of Brazil's trajectory in implementing SDG 2. The scientific method used was inductive, starting from specific data to construct general conclusions about Brazil's achievement of the SDG targets under study. This research is classified as exploratory and descriptive, with documentary analysis and content analysis techniques, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results show that, although progress has been made, maintaining the level achieved depends on structural policies, budgetary stability, and the integration of food security and sustainable agriculture strategies.
