The study aims to discuss the OSCE and OMP teaching tools and assessment applicable to the institution's profile, their advantages, and specifically propose the implementation of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) in the multiprofessional oncology residency program at HCE. Article selection was conducted in the National Library of Medicine (PubMed), Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature (LILACS), and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) databases. Among the 17 articles analyzed in the literature from 2009 to 2023, some point out that clinical simulation is an important tool in the teaching-learning process, as it fosters observation and builds students' confidence in their ability to engage in interprofessional and family dialogues. OSCE and OMP assessment tools in multiprofessional oncology residency programs are of particular importance as they provide a rigorous methodological approach to assessing residents' competencies in a simulated environment using real clinical situations. The combination of OSCE and OMP creates a flexible and adjustable teaching environment, empowering healthcare professionals to tackle various challenges. Standardization and quality assurance are essential to ensure reliable and comparable results. Ultimately, these methods are not just educational tools; they are investments in the future of healthcare, promoting safety and quality.
