Abstract

This article addresses the impact of active methodologies in vocational education, highlighting their importance in the formation of more skilled professionals, better prepared for the challenges of the job market. By analyzing the transition from traditional education to more dynamic and student-centered models, it discusses how active methodologies, such as problem-based learning, simulations, and collaborative projects, contribute to the development of essential technical and behavioral skills. Drawing from learning theories, such as Piaget's constructivism and Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, the article emphasizes the importance of promoting active learning, where the student is the protagonist of their education. Active methodologies not only facilitate a deeper understanding of content but also develop competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, and autonomy. Furthermore, the text highlights the transformation of the teacher's role, shifting from knowledge transmitter to facilitator of learning. The article concludes that by adopting these pedagogical approaches, vocational education becomes more effective, preparing students for a more reflective and innovative professional practice.
