Abstract

The use of emerging technologies in the teaching of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has stood out as a valuable tool to promote inclusion and educational development. This article aims to analyze the impact of these technologies on the teaching-learning process of students with autism, addressing both the benefits and challenges of this application in the school context. The research was carried out through a literature review of articles, books, and specialized studies published between 2022 and 2025. Emerging technologies, such as educational applications, adaptive software, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI), have demonstrated effectiveness in enhancing the cognitive, social, and emotional skills of students with ASD. These tools offer more personalized and inclusive teaching, tailored to the individual needs of students. However, the implementation of these technologies faces challenges, such as insufficient training of educators, accessibility issues, and the risk of over-reliance on technologies. It is concluded that, despite the difficulties, emerging technologies play a crucial role in advancing the teaching of students with autism, enhancing their capacities and promoting school inclusion.
